Landowners that have pines and other conifers on their property are invited to attend a five day workshop in Amador County that will address forest management practices, harvesting, water quality, fuel management, fire safety, pests & diseases, road maintenance, regulations, technical and financial assistance and many other topics.
The workshop is offered by the University of California Cooperative Extension in partnership with the Northern California Society of American Foresters. This workshop series is designed to give landowners a step by step look at evaluating their property’s resources and then developing a plan to achieve their goals, in an ecologically and economically sound manner.
The five day workshop will be on Wednesday, June 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, and July 6th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The classes will be held at the Pioneer Veterans Hall at 25110 Buckhorn Ridge Road in Pioneer. There will also be optional field trips announced the first day of the class.
