Callecat Ecological Restoration Project Tour

The Amador Ranger District is in the planning stage for one of the projects we included in our “Cornerstone” Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Act proposal.  Located in El Dorado County, the Callecat Ecological Restoration project is our first attempt to meet Forest Service leadership intent of ecological restoration.  We have scheduled a date with Malcolm North, one of the authors of the General Technical Report 220 (An ecosystem strategy for Sierran mixed conifer forests).

The date is Tuesday, July 26th.  Details will follow, but this field visit will be a pre-scoping meeting to give all of you advance notice of the project, our strategy, and answer questions.  Feel free to contact either myself (# below) or Marc Young, project lead, at (209) 295-5955.
