SNC FY11-12 Grant Program RFP Now Available

The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) Proposition 84 “Healthy Forests” Grant Program for the Fiscal Year 2011-2012.  The Request for Proposals (RFP) was formally opened upon posting of the FY 2011-12 Grant Guidelines and Grant Application Packet on the SNC Web site on September 26, 2011.  The funding available for this round of grants is $5 million.  These funds will be awarded across our Region according to the Grant Guidelines approved by the SNC Board in September, 2011.

This program will offer grants to projects that meet criteria in three areas: Proposition 84 requirements, SNC mission and programmatic goals, and support of Healthy Forests as referenced in the newly adopted SNC Strategic Plan.  Please read the Grant Guidelines thoroughly to determine if your project idea is appropriate for this grant cycle.  I encourage you to consult with SNC Area Representatives if you have any questions.

Please Note:  Submitting a pre-application is a new requirement this year.  A successful review of a pre-application will result in an invitation to submit a full application; full applications will not be accepted without an invitation.  Pre-applications can be submitted any time from September 26 until 5 pm on Friday, October 21, 2011.  No pre-applications will be accepted after that date.  The deadline for submission of invited full applications is January 23, 2012.  For more detailed information, please go to our grants page at www.sierranevada.ca.gov/sncgrants.
