CFLR Coalition Message
Dear CFLR Coalition members:
On January 17, 2014, President Obama signed into law the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014, providing funding for the government for the remainder of the fiscal year. We are pleased to report that the Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program was funded once again at its authorized maximum of $40 million. This is the third year in a row that the program has received full funding and is an impressive accomplishment given the continued budget reduction climate. It is also testament to the program’s continued popularity and bipartisan support among lawmakers in Washington D.C. Please see the attached letter that the CFLR Coalition Steering Committee sent to House and Senate Appropriators thanking them for their continued support for CFLRP.
The strong support from both the House and Senate Appropriations Committees for sustained funding is evidence of the importance of your involvement in the CFLR Coalition and our collective advocacy to promote the program.

The inclusion of $40 million in the bill would not have been achieved without your dedicated support and outreach, including signing on to the CFLRP funding request letter in April 2013. The lesson here is that our collective voice as the CFLR Coalition is truly making a difference. We hope you’ll continue to stay actively involved in the coalition, as the time to advocate for FY 2015 program funding is just around the corner.
We sincerely thank you for all your efforts, and look forward to working with you once again in the coming months to ensure full funding for the program.
