Sierra Nevada Conservancy/USFS Webinar for Watershed Improvement Program Oct 8
Dear Partners:
At the Sierra Nevada Conservancy and the U.S. Forest Service, your participation and support is critical to our future success. Last year, we decided that the formidable challenges facing us in the Sierra Nevada in the form of drought, tree mortality, uncharacteristically large fires, poor air quality, and climate change required bold action. As you know, we launched the Sierra Nevada Watershed Improvement Program in March 2015. We have been hard at work over the last six months building the foundation pieces to support the Program.
We will be hosting a webinar on Thursday, October 8, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., to discuss the present status and future plans for the Sierra Nevada Watershed Improvement Program and complementary California Headwaters Designation. This will consist of a basic overview of the Program, and a discussion of opportunities to leverage your organizational goals and projects through these two programs. We hope that you can join us for this event, as well as share it with other potential partners. Please include those who may not be located in the Sierra Nevada, but whose future is dependent upon its health.

Please RSVP for the webinar by October 5, 2015. Webinar access information will be sent once you’ve RSVP’d. Please forward this email to others who might be interested. We look forward to talking with you in October!
